Furniture : Product reviews: Billy Bookshelf by IKEA
Ikea have sold Billy bookshelves for many years and although they also sell other bookcases the Billy is one of their most popular lines.
Billy is now a whole storage solution range from IKEA, there are several different bookcases which vary in width and there are also a couple of heights. You are also able to buy doors to attach to the bookcases to make storage dust-free and if your house has very high ceilings you can even buy extra units which fit on the top to increase the storage. The bookcases are also available in several finishes: white, beech veneer, birch veneer, oak veneer and then also black, red, blue and silver in some of the sizes.
We selected the standard Billy bookshelf with an Oak Veneer. The dimensions are 202cm tall, 28cm deep and 80cm wide. These cost £55 each but the white ones are only £35 each.

Wooden furniture is always in a class of its own
Wooden furniture is always in a class of its own. If you choose carefully what furniture to buy and what they can do for your home, you can ultimately be very happy. If you are thinking about purchasing some fine wooden furniture it is important not to rush into your choice and you should consider things such as what type of wood should be used, what pieces would look best in your home. Wooden furniture looks especially good in the dining room for example. A dining room is most commonly used only on special occasions for example for special dinners or for parties. This is why when you enter this room it should always feel like you are stepping into quality, and with fine wooden furniture you most definitely get this.
Furniture : Tips for saving money on furniture
Things are very tough these days for nearly everyone but let’s just imagine that you are a young couple and you get the luck to be offered a brand new council/government apartment which would be great but you would still be left with a big problem of how to furnish it.
We are supposing that a new apartment comes with a fitted and functional kitchen and also a fully fitted bathroom so at least you don’t have to worry about that but what about the rest of the apartment, where and how are you going to get the money to furnish a sitting room, dining room and a bedroom? Maybe one of you is not working and things are very tight or even worse maybe neither of you are working and are both on the dole. Well if this were the situation you really can’t afford to spend very much if anything at all on furnishings so on continuation I am going to give you a few tips, which you may follow or not, on how to make your home semi respectable. It is obviously not going to be included into any ‘House and Garden’ editions but it will at least be comfortable and functional until better days come along when you can buy yourself some proper furniture.

Architect : The basics of prefabricated home categories
This is by no means an exhaustive list of what’s available in the area of prefabricated homes and buildings. This article is to introduce you to the world of prefab. If you’re in the industry, you’ll probably be cringing about now at the word “prefab”. But, the word is one that has become synonymous with homes and buildings that have been partially or fully assembled in a factory setting.
I for one am excited to see the latest versions of modern prefabs emerging globally. They’re well thought out, beautiful, and energy-efficient.
And to anyone who has any doubts about the quality of today’s prefab homes, I’d ask, would you rather buy a house whose parts have all been crafted outdoors exposed to the elements – by hand. Or, would you rather buy a house built in a factory setting to tight specs exceeding that of site-built homes. I say exceeding, because a normal site-built home doesn’t have to endure the rigors of transportation.

Architect : The benefits of a prefab house
A prefabricated home is a home that has had each room assembled in a factory, and is then delivered and put together on the homeowners land. A prefabricated home is commonly called a modular home. There are several benefits of buying a prefabricated house.
SPEED OF CONSTRUCTION
Since each room is built in a factory setting, construction is very fast for a prefabricated home compared to the building of a traditional new home. A prefab house can be constructed in as little as 2 days. A traditional home can take close to a year, or longer depending on who is doing the work for you.
MOBILITY
Unlike a tradition home, a prefabricated home can be moved if need be. Though moving a traditional home can be done, it cannot be done without spending thousands of dollars or without the risk of walls cracking or other structural damage. It is very difficult to move a traditional home, while with a prefabricated home, the home can be moved in sections, or by room.
